This is a print drawing from 1943 this is number eleven in the series showing a rich man walking by a farmer trying to sell his goods.
The French and the picture was translated as shown:
"THERE IS SO VILE PRACTITIONER WHO DOESN'T PREFER HIMSELF TO THE PLOWMAN WHO ENJOYS THE SKY. WHO TILLS THE LAND, WHO SOWS PROPERLY, AND WHO GETS RICH HARVESTS OF HEATHER"
This would have been considered degenerate art at the time it was created in occupied France during WWII.
Measurements: 5 1/2" (5.5") wide and 7 7/16 " (7.437) tall
